What is the Women in Construction Committee (WICC)?
The Women in Construction Committee is a branch of the Medicine Hat Construction Association similar to the Women in Construction Committees of Alberta or Calgary. It is a resource for women to get the training, education, and opportunities needed to find a career in the construction industry. Through the help of supports and grants from Alberta, women can have a great list of opportunities at their disposal to find placement in the construction industry and have a better understanding of the improved standards within it. Additionally, there is access to women's workwear, health and safety courses, and an overall view of the job market at any given time.
